The bridge is back!
Now the road outside the honey farm has been fixed (thank you nice workmen)the bridge is being used again which is wonderful! It celebrates its 190th birthday on July 26th, which surely is a cause for celebration?!
Fantastic news. I first visited the bridge 5 years ago and thought then what a treasure it is. I'm hoping to cross the bridge by motorcycle on the 24th July 2010, so I hope all is well then. Keep up the good work.

Helped found Project 2020 in 2007 after the closure of the Union Chain Bridge due to structural concerns. Project 2020 aims to ensure the survival, maintainence and beauty of the bridge for the future. Project 2020 plan to celebrate the bi-centenary of Union Chain Bridge in 2020.
